National daily newspapers

The Times Mondays and Wednesdays
The Guardian Tuesdays and Fridays
The Independent Thursdays
The Western Mail Daily Monday - Friday

Local weekly newspapers

The Western Telegraph Wednesdays

National weekly newspapers

The Times Educational Supplement Fridays
Magazines

The Library subscribes to a number of magazines, which are held for reading in the Library and may not be borrowed.

Of particular interest to pupils studying French, German or Spanish are the attractive and interesting language magazines aimed at learners which come out every two months - Aktuell, Das Rad and Schuss for German; Ahora, El Sol, Hoy Día and ¿Qué Tal? for Spanish; and Allons-y, Bonjour, Ça va? and Chez nous for French. These can be found on the main library magazine stand.

Animal lovers and those seeking information about animals, birds and cruelty to them, might find the RSPCA Education magazine useful. This can be found on the main library magazine rack.

Budding writers, and those who want to improve their writing, might enjoy dipping into the Young Writer magazine.

Sixth Form Journals

A series of excellent journals aimed at Sixth Form students is taken by the Library. They are shelved on a magazine stand in the Sixth Form extension: current copies on display, back issues behind them inside the stand. These magazines should not be removed from the Library, but students are welcome to photocopy any relevant article.
