Get involved in one or more of our wide range of activities at lunchtime! Many of them were set up because pupils showed an interest!
WEDNESDAYS: Bitten by Books:
Bitten by Books club members live to read and are currently challenging themselves to read as many titles on the longlist for the CILIP Carnegie Medal as they can before the shortlist is announced on Tuesday 27 March 2012. We're looking forward to updating our page and blog on the Carnegie site soon. We meet every Wednesday lunchtime to share our views and would love to welcome other readaholics!
THURSDAYS: Fully Booked:
Fully Booked invite you to join them every Thursday lunchtime in the Library for the latest books, shared and swapped, waved and raved, and voted on for the Red House Book Award. We do and make up quizzes and competitions, play games based on reading. Oh, and did we mention, there might be a biscuit or two?
FRIDAYS: Doctor Who Club:
Join other Pembroke School Whovians and share your same passion for the truly brilliant series that is Doctor Who every Friday lunchtime in the TARDIS aka the Library.
Take a look at the trailer on our Screen Reads page.
If you haven't yet read them, get down to your Library and read the series!
This week's English and Welsh words are:
miasma
llipa
Thanks to Levi and Jake for this week's words!
Tell us what either or both words mean and you can choose a word for next week!

I pray no child of mine should ever descend into such a place as a Library. They are indeed most dangerous places and unfortunate is she or he who is lured into such a hellhole of enjoyment, stimulus, facts, passion and fun.
Willy Russell
