National Poetry Day is an annual UK-wide celebration of poetry organised by the Poetry Society.

National Poetry Day has been marked in a number of ways in Pembroke School. Lunchtime poetry readings, with pupils and staff reciting their favourites, have proved very popular, made extra special by having Lord Parry of Neyland along to tell his own stories. Limerick competitions have also produced some amusing results.
