Welcome to Year 6
Thank you to all Year 6 pupils who have been on visits to their new school library. We hope you enjoyed yourselves!
Why not tell us something about what you've been enjoying reading or what you'd like to read.
It might be a book or magazine you have found on your visit to your new school library, or a book you've just enjoyed, or a magazine you read every week, or a story that you read to a younger sister or brother, or the lyrics (words) of your favourite song... we want to know! Please also tell us a bit about why you enjoyed it or would like to read it. Your comments will go live here on the website as soon as Mrs Smith has read them.
March 2012 was Screen Reads month! Take a look at the display in the Library - you might be surprised how many books have been made into films! Borrow the book and then the DVD - see which you prefer!
Book Oscars
Our own Book Oscars ceremony took place on Monday 26th March. Go to our Book Oscars page to find out who won in the following categories:
- Which authors won the Best Male Author and Best Female Author awards?
- Which series was the favourite?
- Which Information Book was voted the best? Which pupils and staff won prizes?
