Remember to tell us what your first impressions are, what you liked and what you think we could do better!

Voting for the Pembroke School 'Champion of Football books' has now closed. Congrat
ulations to Robson in Year 7 who won himself an official World Cup football, sponsored by Llewelyn Sports in Pembroke! Robson read and voted for the top scoring book (and the others in the series) -
TOP SCORER at the final whistle was Goal! by Robert Rigby, with Foul Play by Tom Palmer in 2nd place, and Cool! by Michael Morpurgo in 3rd.
Warmed up on the touchline but not quite seeing any action on the field were Match of the Day Magazine World Cup 2010, David Beckham's autobiography, My Side, and Bend it Like Beckham by Narinder Dhami.
Though voting has closed, fans can still pick up one of these and many other great footballing reads in the Library.
Cycling film challenge:
In July, Year 7 completed an exciting new project on the theme of cycling resulting in a video made by the yeargroup for other young people of their age. As part of their preparation, each tutor group visited the Library and investigated a different aspect of the topic; the Library has a range of lively resources, including books, leaflets, catalogues, reports and a hotlist of cycling websites which were used to select information for their film. Thanks are due to Enterprise Cycles at Neyland for providing a selection of their latest cycle catalogues!

misconstrued
Tell us what it means and you can choose next week's word!

I pray no child of mine should ever descend into such a place as a Library. They are indeed most dangerous places and unfortunate is she or he who is lured into such a hellhole of enjoyment, stimulus, facts, passion and fun.
